Due to exceptionally high demand across Leeds, New Directions Education is actively recruiting SEN and SEMH Teachers to work in a variety of specialist provisions, alternative settings, and mainstream schools with dedicated SEND support.
We currently have a range of exciting opportunities available, including full-time, part-time, long-term, short-term, and day-to-day flexible roles. Whilst full-time availability is preferred due to demand, job share arrangements will also be considered.
As an SEN and SEMH Teacher, you will play a crucial role in supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, creating a positive, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.
You may work with pupils with:
You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, adapting learning to meet individual needs, managing behaviour positively, and helping pupils achieve both academically and personally.
– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
– Experience teaching children or young people with SEN and/or SEMH needs
– Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
– The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families
– A flexible, resilient, and empathetic approach
– A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners
