New Directions are currently recruiting for a Special Needs Teacher for the Nurture Provision in a wonderful Salford Primary school. The role will involve being responsible for the learning of 6 pupils within the Nurture Provision EYFS – Year 2 age. The successful candidate will also have the support of the SENDCO for lesson planning and EHCP guidance. The class also has a very strong LSA present.

The Role:
Full-time pupil support role providing targeted support to children within EYFS & KS1 assisting with both academic and emotional development
Use augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) tools like PECs, Makaton, or communication boards for non-verbal or minimally verbal pupils.
Support sensory regulation needs, including guiding pupils through sensory circuits, using sensory rooms, or implementing sensory breaks as advised by OT specialists.
The Candidate:
Holds QTS and a minimum of 1 years SEND teaching experience
Experience teaching children in EYFS – KS1
