New Directions is on the lookout for caring individuals to join us as teaching assistants in schools around Rhondda Cynon Taff, Beddau. We have a range of positions available, offering flexibility from short-term to long-term commitments.

As a teaching assistant, you’ll be pivotal in supporting students in both primary and secondary school settings. Your role will involve providing invaluable support, whether it’s in a group setting or on a one-to-one basis. Creating an environment where students can flourish is at the heart of what we do.

Key responsibilities include:

• Guiding children with additional learning needs to reach their full potential.
• Assisting in setting up classrooms for lessons, ensuring all necessary materials are readily available.
• Cultivating a motivating atmosphere where students feel empowered to learn and succeed.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 months’ experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
• Genuine enthusiasm for the role and a passion for working with children.
• Enhanced DBS clearance, registered with the update service, or willingness to obtain one.
• Registration with the Education Workforce Council.
• Eligibility to work in the UK.
