New Directions Education are currently recruiting a SEND Learning Support Assistant to support pupils with additional needs in an alternative educational setting in Wirral, supporting learners with a range of complex needs including SEND, SEMH, and medical needs.
The Role:
Supporting pupils with SEND on a 1:1 or small group basis
Assisting with academic, emotional, and social development
Supporting pupils with medical, physical, or behavioural needs where required
Working closely with teaching staff and support professionals
Helping to create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Experience supporting children or young people with SEND
A caring, patient, and adaptable approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
An understanding of safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
The ability to build positive and trusting relationships
All applicants must have, or be willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS check and provide appropriate professional references.
