New Directions Education is currently recruiting Early Career Teachers (ECTs) to work in EYFS classes across primary schools in Ellesmere Port.
Due to high demand, we are looking for enthusiastic ECTs who are keen to gain valuable classroom experience while enjoying the flexibility of supply work.
Location: Ellesmere Port Start Date: ASAP Key Stage: EYFS (F1/F2) Roles: Supply – ad hoc, short-term & long-term
The Role: You will deliver engaging Early Years lessons, support children’s development across all areas of learning, and help create a nurturing, stimulating and inclusive classroom environment.
We’re Looking For: – ECTs with (or working towards) QTS – Passion for Early Years education – Strong classroom management and communication skills – Flexible, reliable and eager to develop experience – SEND experience beneficial but not essential

Job Specification
An EYFS Teacher works in day nurseries and also nursery or reception classes in infant or primary schools.

As an EYFS teacher you’ll be expected to:
Hold QTS status
Teach all areas of the Early Years Statutory Framework
Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a safe and positive teaching environment
Plan and prepare activities that cater for the needs of the whole ability range within their class
Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation;
Maintain discipline
Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development
Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, and supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
Take part in school events and activities which may take place at weekends or in the evening
Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly in smaller schools and day-nurseries.
