Have knowledge of trauma‑informed approaches and therapeutic behaviour support
Are trained in Team‑Teach or other behaviour intervention methods
Are HLTAs, experienced TAs, or those ready to take the next step in their career
About the Role
Working as a Behaviour Support Worker is highly rewarding and varied. You will work closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams, therapists and outside agencies to promote positive behaviour strategies and support a safe, nurturing learning environment.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
Providing 1:1 and small‑group support
Applying individual behaviour plans and management strategies
Using approved de‑escalation techniques (e.g., Team‑Teach)
Supporting emotional regulation and positive peer interactions
Attending multi‑agency meetings and contributing to learner reviews
Taking part in regular CPD, supervision and training
Recording and reporting behavioural or safeguarding concerns accurately
