Job Description

New Directions Education is currently recruiting enthusiastic and motivated Student Teachers to work on a supply basis in primary schools across Ormskirk and the surrounding areas.

The Role

As a Student Teacher on supply, you will:

• Deliver pre-set lessons across EYFS, KS1, or KS2
• Support pupils’ academic and social development
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Adapt quickly to different classroom environments
• Gain hands-on experience in a range of local schools

The Ideal Candidate

• Currently completing a PGCE, SCITT, or teacher training programme
• Confident delivering lessons (with planning provided)

Requirements

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
• Employment or education references covering the last 2–5 years
