KS2 Teacher, Cheshire West and Chester

Job Description

New Directions Education are currently recruiting KS2 Teachers for primary schools across Chester and the surrounding areas, with a range of day-to-day, short-term and long-term teaching opportunities available.

We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated teachers who can deliver engaging lessons, maintain high standards and support students as they progress through Key Stage 2.

Due to the nature of these opportunities, candidates must be able to commit to working 3 or more days per week.

The Role:

• Planning and delivering engaging lessons across the KS2 curriculum
• Following the National Curriculum and adapting teaching to meet student needs
• Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining high expectations
• Supporting students with their academic, social and emotional development
• Differentiating lessons to accommodate a range of abilities
• Assessing and monitoring student progress
• Preparing students for the transition to secondary education where appropriate
• Working collaboratively with teaching assistants and wider school staff
• Following school policies and safeguarding procedures

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 2
• Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum
• Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
• The ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A flexible, reliable and professional approach
• The ability to adapt to different school environments
• A passion for helping students achieve their potential
