New Directions Education are currently recruiting a dedicated and adaptable PPA Teacher to work in primary schools across Chester. This role is ideal for enthusiastic educators who enjoy teaching across different year groups and providing high-quality cover to ensure continuity of learning during teachers’ Planning, Preparation and Assessment (PPA) time.
Due to the specifics of this role, candidates must be able to commit to 3 or more days per week.
The Role:
• Delivering pre-planned lessons across EYFS, KS1, and/or KS2
• Ensuring continuity of learning during class teachers’ PPA time
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Creating a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
• Adapting teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners
• Providing feedback to class teachers on pupil progress and learning
• Supporting the wider school community when required
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching within a primary school setting
• Strong classroom management skills
• The flexibility and confidence to teach across different year groups
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A proactive and professional approach
• A strong understanding of safeguarding and curriculum expectations
• A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
