We are currently looking to recruit Primary Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to work in a range of welcoming and supportive primary schools in the Caldicot area. These roles offer a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with children and want to play an important role in supporting pupils’ learning, confidence, and development in the classroom.
About the Role As a Primary Learning Support Assistant, you will support teachers in delivering engaging lessons while providing additional help to pupils who may need extra guidance. You may work with individuals or small groups of children to support their academic progress, social development, and confidence.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting pupils in the classroom across the primary age range
Providing one-to-one or small group support for children who need additional help
Assisting the class teacher with lesson activities and classroom organisation
Encouraging pupil participation, confidence, and independence
Supporting pupils with additional learning needs or social and emotional development
Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Experience working with children (schools, nurseries, youth groups, coaching, or similar)
A patient, nurturing, and supportive approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
The ability to engage and motivate young learners
A genuine passion for supporting children’s education
