New Directions Education are currently recruiting enthusiastic and motivated student teachers who are due to graduate and obtain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) at the end of this academic year. We are supporting primary schools across Chester who are looking for new teachers to begin their careers in September.
This opportunity is ideal for current trainee teachers in their final year who are looking to secure their first teaching role, gain experience across different school settings, and potentially move into long-term or temporary-to-permanent positions.
We work with a range of welcoming and supportive primary schools across Chester that are committed to helping new teachers develop their confidence, classroom practice, and professional skills at the start of their teaching careers.
The Role:
• Delivering engaging and effective lessons across EYFS, KS1, or KS2
• Providing high-quality teaching through day-to-day or longer-term cover
• Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Supporting pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
• Adapting teaching approaches to meet the needs of all learners
• Working collaboratively with school staff and leadership teams
• Gaining valuable classroom experience at the start of your teaching career
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
• Be a current student teacher due to achieve Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) this academic year
• Recent teaching placement experience within a primary school setting
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• A positive, enthusiastic, and proactive approach to teaching
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• A good understanding of safeguarding and the primary curriculum
• A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
