A small and supportive primary school in Widnes is seeking to appoint a dedicated KS1 Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time position with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a small school environment with a strong community feel and access to an outstanding outdoor learning area, which is regularly utilised to enhance pupils’ learning experiences.
• Support teaching and learning within a KS1 classroom
• Deliver targeted phonics interventions (training can be provided)
• Support pupils with additional needs as part of wider TA responsibilities
• Contribute to engaging lessons, including the use of the school’s outdoor learning provision
• Experience working with primary-aged children, ideally within KS1
• Some knowledge or experience of phonics delivery (desirable but not essential)
• Understanding of SEND or willingness to support pupils with additional needs
• Enthusiastic, proactive and able to use initiative
• References covering the last 5 years
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
