We are looking for caring, enthusiastic, and motivated Teaching Assistant’s to join our supportive school community in Torfaen. You will work closely with teachers to help pupils achieve their full potential by providing classroom support, encouraging positive learning behaviours, and assisting with individual and small-group activities.
Key Responsibilities
Support teachers in planning and delivering engaging learning activities.
Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning.
Help create a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment.
Assist pupils with additional learning, behavioural, or physical needs where required.
Prepare learning materials and classroom resources.
Monitor and record pupils’ progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
Supervise pupils during lessons, breaks, educational visits, and other school activities.
Promote safeguarding, wellbeing, and positive behaviour at all times.
About You
The successful candidate will:
Be patient, caring, and enthusiastic about supporting children’s learning.
Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Work effectively as part of a team and use their own initiative.
Be organised, reliable, and flexible.
Have a good standard of literacy and numeracy.
Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant expereince or a background in care(desirable but not always essential).
