We are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school on the Wirral that is looking to appoint a full-time 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a child in Year 1 from 2nd September.
This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced and compassionate Teaching Assistant who is passionate about making a positive difference to a child’s educational journey.
About the Role
Providing dedicated 1:1 support for a child in Year 1
Supporting a pupil with complex learning needs, an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and communication difficulties
Working closely with the class teacher and SEND team to deliver personalised support
Encouraging the child’s independence, confidence and engagement with learning
Building a positive, trusting relationship to help the child thrive both academically and socially
What We’re Looking For
Previous experience supporting children with SEND, particularly those with complex needs
Experience working with children who have EHCPs and communication needs is highly desirable
A calm, patient and nurturing approach
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Due to the individual needs of the pupil, the school has expressed a preference for a female Teaching Assistant for this role.
Reliable, committed and able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families
