New Directions Education are currently recruiting 1:1 Teaching Assistants to work in an ALN school in Shrewsbury. The role is due to start in the new academic year.
You will be required to support pupils with emotional and behavioral difficulties.
Hours of work can be full or part time, you are able to state your preferred days/hours of work.
The work available can be on a day to day basis, however we do also have long term opportunities available.
Creating a good working relationship with a school is imperative whilst representing New Directions to ensure the best possible feedback, and to be requested for further placements.
Experience working with children inside or outside of a classroom is desirable, however if you have experience coaching or mentoring children, we can look to transfer your skills in to an education setting.
A large number of our jobs are within the ALN sector. We fill many vacancies in schools with candidates who have the right experience and qualifications.
To work in an Additional Learning Needs (ALN) role you will need:
Ideally experience working in an ALN environment or from a care background
An excellent track record
Flexibility and adaptability to work short-term and long-term.
