Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant (1:1) – September Start
£460-£520 Weekly Pay (PAYE – No Umbrella Company)
New Directions Education is recruiting on behalf of a friendly primary school in Hazel Grove for a dedicated Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 5 pupil from September.
This is a Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm, ongoing opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. The pupil can display challenging behaviour but is enthusiastic about sports, so building a positive relationship through shared interests will be a key part of the role.
About the School
Located in Hazel Grove, the school is easily accessible by both public transport and road links, making it a convenient commute from Stockport and the surrounding areas.
The school is investing in dedicated 1:1 support, recognising the importance of consistency and positive relationships for pupils with additional needs.
You’ll take on a rewarding role where you’ll have the opportunity to make a genuine difference to one child’s confidence, behaviour, and progress throughout the school year.
The Role & Ideal Candidate
Previous experience supporting children with SEMH needs, challenging behaviour, or in a behaviour support role is highly desirable.
Patient, reliable, and committed, with the resilience to build positive relationships and provide consistent support.
A genuine interest in sports or physical activity, using this shared passion to engage, motivate, and encourage the pupil both in and out of the classroom.
If you’re looking for a rewarding role where every day brings the opportunity to make a lasting difference, we’d love to hear from you. Apply today with New Directions Education to be considered for this fantastic September opportunity.
