Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate ALN Teacher to support pupils with additional learning needs within a supportive and inclusive school environment. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of students, helping them to achieve their full academic and personal potential. Responsibilities include planning and delivering high-quality teaching, assessing and monitoring progress, implementing individual education plans (IEPs), and creating a positive and nurturing classroom environment. The role requires strong classroom management skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work collaboratively with support staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for pupils. The ideal candidate will be patient, adaptable, and passionate about inclusive education.

To work in an Additional Learning Needs (ALN) role you will need:

  • A relevant teaching qualification
  • Ideally experience working in an ALN environment
  • Recent experience in a classroom environment
  • An excellent track record
  • Good knowledge of the national curriculum
  • Strong interpersonal and people management skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work short-term and long-term.
