New Directions is seeking a creative and inspiring Art and Design Teacher to join a dynamic and inclusive Ofsted ‘Good’ secondary school based in Liverpool starting immediately until the end of the academic year. This is an exciting opportunity to lead engaging lessons that spark creativity, encourage self-expression, and develop students’ artistic skills across Key Stages 3 and 4.
The successful candidate will be passionate about visual arts and committed to delivering a high-quality curriculum that promotes critical thinking, cultural appreciation, and technical skill. As a Art & Design Teacher you’ll be expected to:
Hold a PGCE and UK QTS
Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges.
Maintain discipline.
Lesson Planning and overseeing parents evenings
Be enthusiastic, flexible, creative and ambitious
A strong academic background Art & Design or related discipline.
To deliver religious education lessons to groups of pupils from all abilities across ages 11 – 16 according to their educational needs and levels of ability.
The Successful Art & Design Teacher must have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience Of Teaching Art & Design
Knowledge of the National Curriculum
Able to provide Referees.
An up-to-date DBS Check (or be willing to obtain one)
Eligibility to work in the UK.
