New Directions Education are currently recruiting a reliable and experienced Qualified Teaching Assistant to work across primary schools in Chester. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting children’s learning and enjoy working in a variety of school settings.
We work with a range of welcoming and supportive primary schools across Chester, offering flexible opportunities to gain experience across different year groups and classroom environments.
Due to the nature of these opportunities, candidates must be able to commit to working 3 or more days per week.
The Role:
• Supporting pupils in the classroom on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Assisting the class teacher with the delivery of lessons and learning activities
• Working across EYFS, KS1, and/or KS2 depending on school requirements
• Supporting pupils with a range of learning needs and abilities
• Promoting pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development
• Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in learning
• Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
• Providing feedback to teachers on pupil progress where required
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
• Experience working within a primary school setting
• A patient, caring, and adaptable approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
• A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
• A full driving licence and access to transport (desirable)
