Job Description

New Directions Education are currently recruiting for a motivated and passionate Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join a small, one-form entry primary school in an affluent area of Ormskirk. This full-time, long-term position offers excellent support and the potential to become permanent, starting from September.

The Role:
• Full-time Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 class teacher position (dependent on experience and preference), responsible for planning and delivering creative, engaging, and inclusive lessons.
• Support the academic progress of high-achieving pupils through effective differentiation and extension activities.
• Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and resilience.

The Ideal Candidate:
• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and be completing or have recently completed an Initial Teacher Training (ITT) programme.
• Have recent experience teaching or completing placements in a primary setting, ideally with
• Be able to provide a recent reference from a school-based placement or teaching role within the last 5 years.
• Hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS check on the update service.
