This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated practitioner who can engage students across Biology, Chemistry and Physics, deliver dynamic lessons, and contribute to a successful Science department.
Key Responsibilities • Delivering high-quality Science lessons to KS3 and KS4 pupils • Planning and preparing practical and theory-based lessons across the science disciplines • Ensuring safe use of laboratory equipment and strict adherence to health & safety protocols • Assessing student progress, providing targeted feedback, and supporting GCSE preparation • Maintaining an inclusive, well-structured and engaging classroom environment • Working collaboratively with the wider Science department and school leadership

As a Science Teacher you’ll be expected to:
Hold QTS status
Teach all areas of your subject specialism
Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges
Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
Maintain discipline
Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development
Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools.
