You will be a passionate teacher of drama and English; exclusively seeking work in one of our recently, refurbished schools near Birkenhead on the Wirral. The school have specifically requested we recruit a teacher who is engaging, dynamic and persuasive, but also be available to start immediately and be committed to staying the remainder of the academic year. One stipulation they have requested is that the teacher be qualified, have experience of teaching across all key stages 3 – 5 and more importantly be passionate about their subject.

What do I need?
have experience and past success at delivering drama and English up to A’ Level
have a relevant degree and have a classification of 2:1 or better (although this can be negotiated)
either be an NQT or already hold QTS
be an ‘outstanding’ and highly committed teacher who is passionate about their subject and the schools’ learners
be passionate about making a difference; deliver after school intervention and enrichment programs and contribute to wider school activities.

As an English Teacher you’ll be expected to:
Teach all areas of the school curriculum or your subject specialism
Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges
Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development
Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
Take part in school events and activities which may take place at weekends or in the evening
Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools.
