The Role
As a History Teacher, you will deliver engaging and challenging lessons that inspire curiosity and help students develop essential analytical and evaluative skills. You will create a positive learning environment where all students are encouraged to achieve their full potential.
Key responsibilities include:
Planning and delivering high-quality History lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
Supporting students of all abilities to make excellent progress
Assessing, monitoring, and reporting on student achievement
Creating an inclusive and engaging classroom environment
Encouraging discussion, independent thinking, and historical enquiry
Promoting a passion for learning and academic success
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching History within a secondary school setting
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for History
Strong communication and organisational skills
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
The ability to motivate, challenge, and inspire students
