New Directions Education are currently recruiting for a Computer Science Teacher to work in an Outstanding mainstream secondary school in Liverpool. This is a full-time, long-term position starting in January 2026, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

The Role:
• Full-time teaching position delivering Computer Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to support GCSE coursework, extend high-achieving learners, and contribute to exam preparation.
• Plan and deliver challenging, engaging lessons in areas such as programming, algorithms, networks, data representation, and computational thinking.
• Use a range of software and digital tools (e.g. Python, HTML/CSS, robotics or coding platforms) to stretch learners and develop advanced technical skill sets.
The Ideal Teacher:
• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Have recent, relevant experience teaching Computer Science at secondary level.
• Be able to provide a school-based reference within the last 5 years.
• Be willing to complete a DBS check and add it to the Update Service if not already registered.
