New Directions Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated and knowledgeable Computing Teacher to join a forward-thinking secondary school in Manchester. This is a full-time position to start as soon as possible, initially on a temporary basis, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
You will be delivering engaging and creative lessons in Computing and ICT across Key Stages 3 and 4. The school is well-resourced and places a strong emphasis on innovation in teaching and learning.
Computing Teacher Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality Computing lessons aligned with the national curriculum
Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress
Inspire pupils through practical and theoretical computing skills
Contribute to the wider school community and departmental development
Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment
Engage in professional development and reflective teaching practice
Computing Teacher Requirements:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status
Has recent experience teaching Computing at secondary level
Possesses strong classroom management and communication skills
Demonstrates passion for digital learning and emerging technologies
Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils
Can adapt planning and teaching to meet individual needs
