New Directions Education are recruiting a pool of confident, adaptable, and compassionate Cover Supervisors to work across a range of SEN provisions in Wakefield. As a Cover Supervisor, your working day will involve:
• Delivering pre-prepared lessons and activities to learners with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
• Supporting students in maintaining engagement and focus throughout the school day.
• Adapting your approach to meet individual learning styles and needs, including those with autism, complex learning difficulties, and SEMH (social, emotional and mental health) needs.
• Promoting positive behaviour and creating a calm, supportive classroom environment.
• Building positive, trusting relationships with students, families, and staff teams.
• Ensuring the safety, dignity, and wellbeing of every learner under your supervision.
