About the Role:

New Directions is seeking flexible, confident, and enthusiastic Cover Teachers to support with daily and short-term cover across a range of primary, secondary, and specialist school settings in Cheshire East. This is a fantastic opportunity for teachers who thrive on variety and enjoy adapting to new environments, age groups, and subjects.

You will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of teaching and learning, ensuring pupils remain engaged and on track in the absence of their regular class teachers. Whether you’re delivering pre-prepared lessons or leading your own engaging activities, your ability to motivate learners and build positive relationships will be key to success.

What We’re Looking For:

We are looking for a qualified teacher who:

• Can confidently deliver lessons across KS1–KS4, adapting quickly to different settings and year groups.

• Has excellent classroom management skills and a calm, professional approach.

• Is enthusiastic about supporting learning in a variety of subjects.

• Is flexible, reliable, and able to respond effectively to last-minute cover requests.

• Has a passion for making learning enjoyable and accessible for all pupils.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging lessons across multiple subjects and year groups, ensuring a consistent learning experience.

• Follow lesson plans provided by the school or adapt your own as needed.

• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners.

• Uphold school policies on behaviour, safeguarding, and assessment.

• Build strong, professional relationships with staff and pupils in each school.

• Represent New Directions with professionalism, flexibility, and a commitment to quality education.

Why Join New Directions:

• Experience a wide range of primary, secondary, and specialist school environments across Cheshire East.

• Enjoy the flexibility of choosing when and where you work.

• Develop your teaching practice by working across different key stages and settings.

• Receive ongoing support and guidance from our experienced education team.

• Be part of a trusted and supportive agency that values your contribution.
