Design Technology Teacher

£31,650 – £49,084 (PAYE – No Umbrella Company)

This outstanding Secondary School based in Southport are looking for a progressive and supportive design technology teacher to join their team. This will be a long term role starting in ASAP through until the end of the academic year. We are looking for a strong and enthusiastic DT teacher who can deliver inspiring lessons across KS3, KS4, that involves Engineering and Resistant Materials. As a Design Technology Teacher you’ll be expected to:

• Hold a PGCE and UK QTS
• Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges.
• Maintain discipline.
• Lesson Planning and overseeing parents evenings
• Be enthusiastic, flexible, creative and ambitious
• Have a passion for teaching secondary Design technology
• To deliver religious education lessons to groups of pupils from all abilities across ages 11 – 18 according to their educational needs and levels of ability.

The Successful Design Technology Teacher must have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience Of Teaching Design Technology
• Knowledge of the National Curriculum
• Able to provide Referees.
• An up-to-date DBS Check (or be willing to obtain one)
• Eligibility to work in the UK.
• Passionate about teaching Design Technology
