We are currently looking for a Supply Drama Teacher to work across schools in the Wrexham area, delivering engaging Drama lessons and supporting pupils across the secondary age range. The role would suit a passionate Drama specialist who can bring creativity and enthusiasm into the classroom, while also being confident managing behaviour and adapting to different school environments. A willingness to take on general cover alongside your specialist Drama lessons would be highly beneficial, as this can provide access to a wider range of opportunities. Being able to drive would also be advantageous, particularly due to the nature of supply bookings, as we regularly receive short-notice requirements first thing in the morning across Wrexham and the surrounding areas.
Job Specification
We recruit qualified Drama Teachers who are looking to deliver the drama curriculum using unique teaching styles.

As a Drama and Media Studies Teacher you’ll be expected to:
Hold QTS status
Teach all areas of the school curriculum or your subject specialism
Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges
Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
Maintain discipline
Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development
Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
Take part in school events and activities which may take place at weekends or in the evening
Liaise with colleagues and work flexibly, particularly within smaller schools.
