New Directions Education is currently recruiting a passionate and committed Engineering Teacher to work in a secondary school in Liverpool, teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4. The Role:
Deliver high-quality Engineering lessons at KS3 and KS4, aligned with the National Curriculum and relevant vocational or GCSE specifications.
Teach core engineering principles including materials, systems and control, mechanical and electrical concepts, CAD/CAM, and health and safety.
Support KS4 learners in meeting curriculum objectives such as designing, making, testing, and evaluating engineered products, understanding manufacturing processes, and applying maths and science to engineering contexts.
Plan engaging, practical lessons that develop problem-solving, teamwork, resilience, and independent learning.
Assess progress effectively and adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners.
The Ideal Candidate:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Experience teaching Engineering, Design & Technology, or a related subject at secondary level is desirable.
Strong understanding of strategies to support Pupil Premium students and close attainment gaps.
Confident classroom practitioner with good behaviour management skills.
Willing to undertake an enhanced DBS check and provide references covering the last 5 years.
