New Directions Education is currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Engineering Teacher to join a forward-thinking secondary school in the Knowsley area. This is a part-time position (4 days per week), with the opportunity for long-term work and potential for a permanent contract.

The Role:
• Teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 Engineering, delivering engaging, hands-on lessons in line with the national curriculum and vocational pathways.
• Planning and delivering high-quality lessons focused on design, manufacturing processes, CAD/CAM, electronics, and practical workshop skills.
• Supporting students’ progress through tailored feedback, structured assessment, and encouragement of problem-solving and independent learning.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
• Hold QTS or QTLS, with specialism or experience in Engineering, Product Design, or a related subject area.
• Have experience teaching Engineering or Design & Technology at the secondary level.
• Be willing to complete or already hold an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service.
• Be able to provide at least one teaching reference from within the last 5 years.
