New Directions is seeking a passionate and dedicated Secondary SEND Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive specialist school based in Sefton. This is a long-term opportunity to work with students across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging and personalised lessons that meet a wide range of learning needs. Working alongside an experienced and supportive team, you will play a key role in creating a positive, nurturing environment where every student is encouraged to succeed both academically and personally. The Role
Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to the individual needs of students with SEND.
Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, the SENDCo, therapists, and external professionals to deliver personalised learning programmes.
Support pupils with individual PLMD needs, encouraging progress in both learning, wellbeing & behavioural needs.
Adapt teaching strategies to support pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASD), ADHD, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and communication difficulties.
Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and external professionals.
The Ideal Candidate
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
Has experience teaching secondary-aged pupils, ideally within a SEND or specialist setting.
Works effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and contributes positively to the wider school community.

Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
