Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? We are recruiting a dedicated and caring Secondary SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEND school in Bootle from September.
This is a full-time, long-term position with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate.
Working with Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students (ages 11–16), you will support pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them access learning, build confidence, and achieve their individual goals within a supportive specialist setting.
The Role
Support students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups throughout the school day.
Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and adapting learning to meet individual needs.
Promote positive behaviour, independence, and emotional wellbeing while building strong relationships with students.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or supporting children or young people with SEND.
A patient, resilient, and positive approach with excellent communication skills.
A genuine passion for helping young people reach their full potential.
Requirements
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
Able to provide employment references covering the last two years.
Right to work in the UK.
