We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Maths Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive SEND secondary school based in Litherland. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who is committed to making a lasting difference in the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
The successful candidate will deliver engaging and accessible Maths lessons to students with a range of additional needs, adapting teaching strategies to ensure every learner can achieve success. Working as part of a skilled and compassionate team, you will help create an inclusive learning environment where pupils are encouraged to build confidence, develop independence, and reach their full potential. This role is to start in September, This is an ongoing long-term placement with the potential for extension.
The Role
• Deliver engaging and effective Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and well-structured classroom environment
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, the SENCO, therapists, and wider professionals to support individual learning plans.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning.
The Ideal Candidate
• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Has experience working with pupils with SEND or a genuine passion for inclusive education.
• Have a commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and promoting the well-being of all students.
• Demonstrates excellent classroom management and strong communication skills. Is patient, adaptable, and committed to helping every pupil achieve their potential.
