Job Purpose
We are currently seeking an Experienced Secondary Teacher (QTS) to join a supportive and ambitious secondary school in Perry Barr.
This opportunity would suit a teacher looking for a long-term role where they can become part of the school community, contribute to pupil achievement and potentially secure a permanent post.
The successful candidate will deliver high-quality lessons, maintain high expectations and help pupils achieve their full academic potential.
Key Responsibilities – Teaching & Learning
Plan and deliver engaging lessons
Assess, monitor and record pupil progress
Differentiate learning to meet pupil needs
Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement
Establish a positive learning environment
Provide effective feedback to pupils
Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff
Communicate effectively with parents and carers
Participate in meetings and school activities
Contribute positively to the wider school community
Person Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
Previous UK secondary teaching experience is essential
Excellent classroom management skills
Strong curriculum knowledge
Ability to raise attainment and engagement
Strong communication and organisational skills
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Two satisfactory professional references
Qualifications
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
Previous secondary classroom teaching experience is essential.
