Job Description

We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming and nurturing primary school based in Liverpool. This is a fantastic long-term opportunity to support children during the most important stage of their educational journey, helping them develop confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning.

Working alongside the class teacher and Early Years team, you will help create a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment where every child feels valued and supported. Through play-based learning and tailored interventions, you will encourage children to develop socially, emotionally, and academically, giving them the best possible start to school life.

The Role

  • Support children within the Early Years Foundation Stage during classroom activities and play-based learning.
  • Work alongside teachers to deliver engaging, differentiated learning activities both in and out of the classroom
  • Support students’ academic progress, social development, emotional wellbeing, and independence
  • Support pupils with additional learning or SEND needs where required.
  • Encourage children’s communication, language, social, and emotional skills.

  • Demonstrates an understanding of the EYFS Framework and child-centred learning.
  • Has a patient, caring, and proactive approach to supporting students with additional needs
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and relationship-building skills with students, colleagues, and families
  • Is adaptable, resilient, and passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning and succeed both academically and personally
