About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our supportive primary school team. This is an exciting opportunity for a confident practitioner who can lead whole-class learning, support pupil progress, and work collaboratively with teachers to deliver high-quality education.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver planned lessons to whole classes in the absence of the teacher
Support the planning, preparation, and assessment of learning activities
Provide targeted support to individuals and small groups, including pupils with additional needs
Monitor, record, and report on pupil progress
Promote positive behaviour and a safe, inclusive learning environment
Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities where appropriate
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
HLTA status or equivalent qualification/experience
Proven experience working within a primary school setting
Strong understanding of the primary curriculum
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Ability to engage, motivate, and inspire young learners
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
