About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our supportive primary school team. This is an exciting opportunity for a confident practitioner who can lead whole-class learning, support pupil progress, and work collaboratively with teachers to deliver high-quality education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver planned lessons to whole classes in the absence of the teacher
  • Support the planning, preparation, and assessment of learning activities
  • Provide targeted support to individuals and small groups, including pupils with additional needs
  • Monitor, record, and report on pupil progress
  • Promote positive behaviour and a safe, inclusive learning environment
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities where appropriate

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • HLTA status or equivalent qualification/experience
  • Proven experience working within a primary school setting
  • Strong understanding of the primary curriculum
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to engage, motivate, and inspire young learners
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
