New Directions Education is recruiting a full-time KS1 Teaching Assistant for a small, friendly one-form entry primary school in Kirkby.
The role will involve supporting pupils across KS1, with a strong focus on phonics interventions, early reading, and learning through continuous provision and outdoor activities.
What you’ll be doing:
Supporting KS1 pupils in class and through small-group phonics interventions
Helping deliver learning through play-based, indoor and outdoor provision
Working closely with teachers to support early literacy and engagement
What we’re looking for:
Experience with phonics is desirable but not essential – training provided
A positive, enthusiastic approach to working with young children
Someone who enjoys hands-on, outdoor learning
Able to pass an enhanced DBS and provide recent references
