Primary Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – Maidstone and Surrounding Areas

Are you passionate about making a difference in education while embracing the flexibility of supply work? We are currently seeking a warm, dedicated Learning Support Assistant to support a range of reputable primary schools across Maidstone and nearby areas on a supply basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who aim to work in a flexible capacity, embrace the spontaneity of supply and desire to work in different settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide classroom support to teachers and pupils across a variety of subjects and year groups.
  • Deliver 1:1 or small group interventions to ensure pupils receive the tailored, dedicated support they need.
  • Assist in managing classroom behaviour and creating a warm, engaging environment for learners.
  • Support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to access learning and feel fully included.
  • Prepare learning resources and contribute to engaging classroom activities.
  • Offer feedback to teaching staff on pupil progress and development.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A genuine desire to support children of varying learning capabilities in achieving their individual milestones.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Adaptability to work across different schools, age groups, and learning needs.
  • Experience working in schools.
  • A valid enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one.
