Learning Support Assistant, Learning Resource Base Unit, Monmouthshire
Salary: 60 per day
Start date: To be confirmed
Job Type: Temporary
Sector: Additional Learning Needs (ALN)
New Directions Education is currently recruiting candidates for both day-to-day and long term assignments for a primary school in the Monmouth area. This will be based in the schools Learning Resource Base Unit (LRB) and will involve working with primary aged children on both a 1:1 and small group basis with children with any of the following disabilities:
Moderate learning difficulties
Specific learning difficulties
Autistic spectrum disorders
Pupils with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
The day-to-day positions offer great flexibility which does not often come with working within a school environment allowing you to choose when you want to work. For any long-term positions this will offer continuity and allow you to build great rapport with both staff and pupils.
Experience of working with children with the above disabilities is not essential providing you can use your own initiative, be a good team player, be adaptable to change and help promote the schools ethos.
If you are interested in this position please contact the LSA Department on 02920 3090133 option 1.
