Job Description
Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children and young people with additional needs? We are seeking dedicated, resilient, and compassionate Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) and Teaching Assistants (TAs) to join a specialist educational setting in the Frodsham area.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with a wide range of needs, including Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties and challenging behaviour, helping them to thrive both academically and personally.
About the Role
You will work closely with teaching staff and the wider support team to:
Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support
Help pupils access learning in a structured and nurturing environment
Support the development of social, emotional, and behavioural skills
Implement behaviour management strategies consistently and effectively
Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
Contribute to a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
What We’re Looking For
Experience working with children or young people with additional needs, particularly SEMH
Confidence in supporting pupils who may display challenging behaviour
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A proactive attitude and willingness to adapt to individual needs
Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE, NVQ, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential
