About the Role
We are seeking enthusiastic, committed, and flexible Maths Teachers to work across a range of secondary schools in Leeds. As a supply Maths Teacher, you will deliver high‑quality lessons, maintain excellent classroom standards, and support pupils in developing strong numeracy and problem‑solving skills.
Assignments vary from day‑to‑day cover to long‑term roles, offering flexibility to match your lifestyle while still allowing you to make a meaningful impact in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging, well-structured lessons aligned with the Maths curriculum across KS3 & KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential).
Ensure lessons are differentiated to support pupils of all abilities.
Maintain excellent behaviour management using positive, proactive strategies.
Mark work (long-term placements) and provide feedback in line with school policies.
Collaborate with departments when working in longer placements to support schemes of work.
Maintain high expectations for pupil progress and conduct.
Quickly adapt to new school environments and follow provided plans where available.
Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and follow all school procedures.
Person Specification
Essential
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or relevant teaching qualification.
Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics with the ability to teach KS3–KS4.
Effective classroom management and the ability to build positive relationships.
Flexibility, reliability, and a professional approach to supply work.
An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
Desirable
Experience teaching GCSE Maths intervention or booster groups.
Ability to teach A-Level Maths or Further Maths.
Strong understanding of assessment and differentiation strategies.
Previous experience working in a range of secondary school settings.
