New Directions are seeking an inspiring, highly skilled, and enthusiastic Head of Music to lead our well-established department based in a school in Liverpool for a long term role on a part time basis, starting in September. The successful candidate will have the vision, energy, and expertise to drive forward music education across key stage 3 and 5, delivering outstanding lessons and cultivating a love of music in every student.

As a Music Teacher you’ll be expected to:
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of music staff.
Oversee extracurricular music provision, including ensembles, performances, and events.
Maintain discipline.
Lesson Planning and overseeing parents evenings
Be enthusiastic, flexible, creative and ambitious
Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Music Department.
To deliver religious education lessons to groups of pupils from all abilities across ages 11 – 18. according to their educational needs and levels of ability.
The Successful Music Teacher must have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience Of Teaching Music
Knowledge of the National Curriculum
Able to provide Referees.
An up-to-date DBS Check (or be willing to obtain one)
Eligibility to work in the UK.
