Primary Classroom Support Mentor, Cheshire West and Chester

Full Time – Monday–Friday – School Hours

Contract Start: ASAP / January 2026

The Role

New Directions are seeking a caring and proactive Classroom Support Mentor to work within a nurturing Chester primary school. You will provide 1:1 and small-group support, help pupils regulate emotions, and encourage positive engagement in lessons.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, supporting the wellbeing of young learners, and making a meaningful difference day-to-day.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you will need to:

• Have experience working with children or young people
• Be patient, calm and confident supporting behaviour and learning
• Build strong relationships with pupils and staff
• Use initiative and contribute positively to classroom routines
• Demonstrate a genuine passion for primary education and pupil support
