New Directions Education are seeking a flexible and committed PPA Teacher to join primary schools across Chester. This role is perfect for enthusiastic teachers who enjoy delivering lessons across different year groups and providing high-quality cover during class teachers’ Planning, Preparation and Assessment (PPA) time.
Candidates must be able to commit to 3 or more days per week due to the nature of this role.
The Role:
• Delivering pre-prepared lessons across EYFS, KS1, and/or KS2
• Maintaining continuity of learning while class teachers are on PPA
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Creating an inclusive, engaging, and positive classroom environment
• Adapting teaching approaches to meet the needs of all learners
• Providing clear feedback to class teachers on pupil progress
• Supporting wider school activities and initiatives when required
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching in a primary school setting
• Confident classroom management skills
• Flexibility and confidence to teach across multiple year groups
• Excellent communication, organisational, and teamwork skills
• A proactive, professional, and positive approach
• A solid understanding of safeguarding and the primary curriculum
• A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
