The role of Primary Trained Teacher in our Primary settings across Cheshire East involves delivering high-quality teaching and learning across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, working on an ad hoc basis across multiple school environments. The role focuses on creating engaging, inclusive, and supportive learning experiences that meet the needs of all pupils, promoting progress, confidence, and a love of learning. Responsibilities may include planning and delivering lessons in line with the national curriculum, adapting teaching to meet a range of abilities and needs, assessing and monitoring pupil progress, and maintaining a positive and well-managed classroom environment. Teachers are expected to work collaboratively with support staff and school teams, support pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development, and uphold safeguarding responsibilities at all times, ensuring the wellbeing and safety of children remain central to practice.
Your role as a Key Stage 1 (KS1) Primary Teacher in the age group of your speciality will be varied and at times challenging. But we doubt you’ll find a more satisfying career where your main objectives will be to develop the children and prepare them for the next stage.
