New Directions Education is looking to recruit enthusiastic and dedicated Primary Teachers to work across a range of Primary Schools in the Newport area. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced teachers or newly qualified teachers (NQT’s) to gain valuable experience, inspire young learner, and make a difference in the local community
You will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, managing classroom behaviour effectively, and supporting the progress and wellbeing of all pupils. Roles are available across Foundation Phase, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2, depending on your experience and preference.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare and deliver high quality lessons in line with the national curriculum
Create a safe, inclusive and positive classroom environment
Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with Additional Learning Needs (ALN)
Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and support
Manage behaviour in line with school policies and encourage positive attitudes to learning
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, support staff, and senior leadership
Maintain high standards of safeguarding and child welfare at all times
Requirements
To be successful in this role, candidates must have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) recognised in the UK
Recent teaching experience within a primary school setting (placements considered for NQT’s)
Strong classroom management behaviour skills
A positive, flexible and enthusiastic approach to teaching
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through New Directions)
