We are looking for caring, adaptable, and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistants to work on a supply basis across a range of welcoming primary schools in Harrogate. This flexible role is ideal for those who enjoy variety, want to build experience, or are looking for work that fits around other commitments.
Whether you have classroom experience or come from a childcare, nursery, or support background, supply TA work offers rewarding opportunities across EYFS, KS1, and KS2.
Role Responsibilities
Provide support to pupils in EYFS, KS1, or KS2 depending on your experience
Work alongside class teachers to deliver engaging activities
Support individuals and small groups with learning, phonics, or interventions
Assist with classroom routines and behaviour management
Adapt quickly to different school settings and year groups
Build positive relationships with pupils and staff
Requirements
Experience working with children (school, nursery, childcare, youth work, or similar)
A warm, patient, and supportive approach
Ability to follow teacher instructions and contribute confidently in class
Good communication and behaviour‑management skills
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
