New Directions Education are currently recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to work across primary schools in Crewe and surrounding areas. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting students in their learning and development and enjoy working as part of a classroom team.
We work with a range of welcoming and supportive schools, offering opportunities across EYFS, KS1, and KS2.
Due to the nature of these opportunities, candidates must be able to commit to working 3 or more days per week.
• Supporting students in the classroom on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Assisting teachers with lesson delivery and learning activities
• Supporting students with a range of learning needs and abilities
• Promoting students’ social, emotional, and academic development
• Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in learning
• Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
• Supporting classroom preparation and learning resources
• Monitoring and recording student progress where required
• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable)
• Experience working with children or within a school setting (desirable)
• A patient, caring, and adaptable approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
• A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
• A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
• A full driving licence and access to transport (beneficial)
