Social Sciences / Psychology Teacher – Canterbury, Kent
Start Date: September 2025
Salary: £31,650 (MPS1) – £49,084 (UPS3) – Depending on experience
Contract: Full-Time | 8:30am – 3:30pm

We are working in partnership with a highly regarded secondary school based in Canterbury to recruit a committed and inspiring Social Sciences / Psychology Teacher to join their team from September 2025. This is a full-time, permanent position starting in September 2025.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and thought-provoking lessons in Psychology at Key Stage 4 and 5. There may also be an opportunity to teach Sociology or Health & Social Care, depending on your background and the school’s needs.

You will be joining a supportive and forward-thinking department that values creativity, student engagement, and a commitment to academic excellence.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent recognised overseas qualification
  • A strong academic background in Psychology or related Social Sciences
  • Experience teaching Psychology at GCSE and/or A-Level (preferred)
  • A passion for inspiring students and promoting critical thinking
  • Excellent classroom management and interpersonal skills
