The Role:
As a Care Support Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and other support staff to assist in delivering tailored learning and care plans.
Provide one-to-one and small-group support, focusing on communication, sensory engagement, and emotional regulation.
Help create a positive, structured learning environment that supports pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development.
The Ideal Candidate:
Have experience working within the care sector, nursing, or support work, providing personal care and emotional support to individuals with additional needs. Experience in residential care, healthcare, or community-based roles is highly valued and transferable to this position.
Have experience supporting children or young people with special educational needs, ideally within an educational or care setting.
Be willing to complete an enhanced DBS check and register with the Update Service if not already in place.
Able to provide references covering the last 5 years of employment or study.
